Mary was the middle one. She was smaller than Jane, but she was bigger than Linda. Mary did things like pushing the stroller when she and Mother took Linda for a walk, and digging in the sandbox, and giving the poppy his breakfast when Mother was too busy.
Mary had things like being told she did a very good job dressing herself, and having stories read to her--- sitting close to Mother. Also, Mary had had rides on Daddy＇s back when he acted like a bear, or a camel, or a pony.
Those were not things for Linda because she was too little. They were not for Jane, either. She was too big. They were all things just for Mary, no longer little like Linda, and not yet big like Jane.

We are now living in an information age , in which TV , cells and the web are widely used . It seems that many people can not enjoy themselves with them .
However , if I had to give up one of them , I would turn off TV rather than switch off my cell or cut off the internet . I could do without TV because few TV shows can take my fancy and there’re too many commercials . Besides , most programs on TV are also available elsewhere .
As for cells and the web , they are more necessary to me . I need a cell to keep in touch with my friends and family , and almost all information can be gathered on the internet .

事情是這樣的：周老師前幾天就已經(jīng)讓我們預(yù)習(xí)書本第49頁了。于是，我來到家后拼命地度這些不會(huì)讀的單詞，總算在今天的這節(jié)課上起到了一點(diǎn)作用。
由于周老師上課的時(shí)候用電腦上，所以不用鼠標(biāo)點(diǎn)擊是不會(huì)出現(xiàn)下一個(gè)畫面的。今天上英語課的時(shí)，我看見周老師一次次點(diǎn)擊鼠標(biāo)，可是還是沒有出現(xiàn)我昨天預(yù)習(xí)的地方，我開始有些著急了，當(dāng)出現(xiàn)的地方，我一拍腦門，想：糟了，全忘光了。只知道沙發(fā)和餐桌怎么讀，唉，算了，能有幾個(gè)是幾個(gè)吧。我沒勁的嘆了一口氣，舉起了手。
很快，我發(fā)現(xiàn)除了沙發(fā)、冰箱會(huì)讀以外，大家一個(gè)單詞也不認(rèn)識(shí)！我越來越興奮，口中不斷叫著“me me !”當(dāng)周老師正要把餐桌的`單詞讀出來時(shí)，我把聲音提高了二十分貝，叫了一聲“table”，然后就發(fā)現(xiàn)大家都投來了羨慕的眼光，這讓我心里樂極了。突然，電視機(jī)上變出了一個(gè)藍(lán)色的長(zhǎng)方形，周老師讓我們猜猜。我看著這個(gè)東西，心想：有什么東西會(huì)這么高呢？對(duì)了，肯定是冰箱嘛。我又舉起了手，老師讓我回答，我用英語說了一聲："fridge”結(jié)果一看，果真是冰箱，這又讓我神氣十足……
