《畢業(yè)生》根據(jù)查爾斯韋伯的同名小說(shuō)改編而成，由邁克尼科爾斯執(zhí)導(dǎo)，達(dá)斯汀霍夫曼、安妮班克羅夫特等主演。該片于1967年12月21日在美國(guó)上映。 影片通過(guò)描寫(xiě)大學(xué)畢業(yè)生本恩的愛(ài)情經(jīng)歷，體現(xiàn)了青年人的成長(zhǎng)以及對(duì)成年人社會(huì)的奮起反抗。
1968年該片獲得了第25屆金球獎(jiǎng)音樂(lè)喜劇類(lèi)最佳影片、第40屆奧斯卡獎(jiǎng)最佳影片提名等獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)。

本片的音樂(lè)很有時(shí)代特色，在渲染氣氛方面起了很大作用。本片配樂(lè)由戴夫格魯辛(Dave Grusin)與保羅西蒙 (Paul Simon)合作編寫(xiě)，前者負(fù)責(zé)音樂(lè)部份，后者則負(fù)責(zé)片中多首插曲，包括膾炙人口的“The Sound Of Silence”、“Scarborough Fair”、“Mrs. Robinson”等，當(dāng)年都是令人朗朗上口的暢銷(xiāo)曲。格魯辛是著名爵士樂(lè)鋼琴手，但配樂(lè)風(fēng)格頗為多樣化，本片偏向清新的民謠風(fēng)，頗能反映入世未深的大學(xué)生心境。西蒙則是著名民謠二重唱“Simon And Garfunkel”的作曲主將，歷年參與電影配樂(lè)的作品只有5部，《成名之路》(Almost Famous)是最新作品。
